Linda L. Bromley Roell, 69, of Sugar Grove, Pa,, passed away on Aug.14, 2022, at Warren General Hospital, after a battle with cancer.
She was born on May 2, 1953, in Corry, Pa., the daughter of the late Alton and Vera (Sweet) Bromley Sr. She attended Corry Area High School and later she attended JH Thompson Academy where she earned a degree in business.
Linda worked at several farms milking cows. Later in life she worked at Kmart in Philadelphia, Pa., and was a bartender at Star Lite in Spartansburg, Pa. She was a wild and carefree soul that would wear colorful sneakers and Tie Dye Shirts. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, Philip Roell, whom she married in 2005; children: Bill Fehlman of Sugar Grove, Pa., and Jennifer VanTassel and husband, Nathan of Corry, Pa.; stepdaughters: Karla Howell and husband, Josh of Pittsfield, Pa., and Melissa Roell of Sheffield, Pa.; siblings: MaryAnn Messenger of Spartansburg, Pa., Mickey Eggelston and husband, John of Corry, Pa, and Vera May Rathbun of Corry, Pa.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends, and several other children that called her mom.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her in-laws, Mary and Otto Roell; two brothers: Alton Jr. and Harold (Ronnie) Bromley; sister, Dorothy (Dot) Russ; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A picnic for Linda in her memory will be held at her residence for family and friends on Sept. 10, 2022, at 2 p.m. The family asks that friends bring a dish to pass.
